To support the shamanic community and to assist students in continuing their shamanic training during the pandemic, FSS faculty members are offering online review sessions for selected FSS advanced two-day in-person workshops. The online sessions are available to those who have taken the in-person workshop and who wish to clarify, practice, and deepen their understanding of the material. At this time, the focus of FSS online training is on the divinatory practices and not the healing methodologies.
The workshops eligible for these review sessions are:
- Shamanism, Dying, and Beyond (Dying & Beyond)
- Shamanic Dreamwork (Dreamwork)
- Shamanic Training in Creativity (Creativity)
- Shamanism & the Spirits of Nature (Spirits of Nature)
Each workshop review consists of four (4) hours of training. Faculty members may teach the workshop in two 2-hour sessions or in one 4-hour session. Reviews will be offered via Zoom video conferencing, which is free to individual users. Participants will see and hear each other and interact in pairs and small groups, as well as in the full circle. (All students must participate with audio and video.) Instructions for Zoom and workshop access will be provided by the instructor after registration.
PREREQUISITE: Participants must have completed the FSS in-person two-day advanced workshop in order to take the workshop review.
FOR THE MEETING. Please have handy a notebook/pen to take notes, a rattle, a drum (optional), and an eye covering (bandana or Mindfold) to block ambient light. Before the workshop, consider a comfortable chair or place to sit or lie down for journeys. Many Zoom participants find the use of headphones or ear buds an easier listening experience. Download participant instructions for use of Zoom, including audio/video settings.
REGISTRATION. Please see the calendar listings below for Advanced Workshop Online Reviews currently being offered. For registration, tuition, and other workshop details, please contact the FSS faculty member for the workshop you wish to attend.
