What is a Soul Retrieval?
"Where in my life have I lost power?"
"How is that affecting my life today?"
"Shamans believe that soul loss is the most common source of illness, depression, and chronic fatigue, as well as a variety of mental and emotional disorders. When we suffer unbearable pain, trauma or grief, we lose a part of our vital energy. Part of the soul may be driven from the body through substance abuse, physical violation, and/or the shock of an accident or medical crisis. Soul loss frequently results from the breakup of a relationship or loss of a loved one. The absence of dream recall is often a strong indicator of soul loss. Recurring dreams of childhood locales and dream encounters with younger versions of us may indicate that the time is ripe for a soul retrieval."

How Does It Work?
First, the client must have a willingness to receive the parts of themselves lost by trauma, a willingness to be more whole, and a willingness to live his/her life to the fullest.
The client lies down, and the Shaman, through use of a drumbeat and intention, establishes a connection with "personal helping spirits;" the compassionate allies in the spirit world. Many Native Americans refer to drumming as "the heartbeat of the earth." The electromagnetic resonance frequency of the earth, which has been measured at 7.5 cycles per second, is equivalent in brainwaves to high theta/low alpha. It appears that drumming allows Shamans to align their brainwaves with the pulse of the earth.
Next, the Shaman lies down on the floor next to the client, and journeys to retrieve lost soul parts and essences. The Shaman brings back these essences to the client by returning the soul parts to the client and helping the client welcome himself/herself home.
After the Soul Retrieval, clients recognize that there are parts of themselves that have been returned. Many times memories have been restored, clients gain vitality and clarity on their life's purpose, and they feel more able to embrace life with restored creative vital force.
